Jimmy was in the studio on December 18th to record Samora Pinderhughes' Transformation Suite. This is the work that was premiered in Brazil last summer. Look for the release of this recording sometime in the spring of 2012.
Jimmy has received another ASCAPLUS Award for 2012 in recognition of his compositions.
Jimmy has been chosen, along with Samora Pinderhuges, to be a recipient of the 2011/2012 Juilliard School Gluck Community Service Fellowship. Juilliard student groups each present a minimum of 12 performances per year, free of charge, to area hospitals, nursing homes, and alternative care facilities. The Juilliard students’ experiences as Gluck Fellows inform their performing careers and support the development of a personal commitment to community service.
